Seller Appeal Plan of Action Pack · Guide
What should an Amazon seller appeal letter say?
A seller appeal letter, usually called a plan of action, should state the root cause of the specific problem in the notice, the corrective actions you have already taken, and the preventive steps that stop it from happening again. Name the ASINs, orders and dates involved, attach only genuine documents that back each statement, and keep it short and factual. Avoid emotional appeals, blaming others and promises you cannot show.
How to write the letter yourself
- Start from the exact notice. Copy the full notice text and underline the policy or metric named, the ASINs or orders listed and anything Amazon asks you to provide. Your letter must answer those points, not a general version of the problem.
- Write the root cause in plain words. Describe what in your business process caused the problem, for example no check on supplier image rights, or handling times set shorter than you could meet. One to three sentences is usually enough.
- List corrective actions already taken. Use bullet points with dates: listings edited or closed, stock removed or inspected, buyers contacted, settings changed. Only include actions you have actually completed.
- List preventive steps. Describe the ongoing checks you now run, who runs them and how often, such as a weekly review of account health or a pre-listing checklist. Specific routines read better than general promises.
- Match each claim to a document. For each statement, note which file supports it: an invoice, a screenshot of updated settings, a supplier letter. Remove any statement you cannot support.
- Cut it down and check the tone. Remove repetition, apologies beyond one line and any blame on buyers, competitors or Amazon. Read it once as a reviewer would and check that every sentence answers the notice.
- Submit through Account Health. Submit the appeal from the Account Health page in Seller Central, attaching the supporting files. The form may ask set questions, an acknowledgement or a quiz rather than one free-text letter, so put your root cause, actions and preventive steps into the fields it gives. Keep a copy of exactly what you sent.
A simple structure
- Opening line: the notice and what you are appealing
- Root cause: what went wrong and why
- Corrective actions: what you have done, with dates
- Preventive measures: what you now do routinely
- Supporting documents: a short list of what is attached
When a done-for-you pack helps
A done-for-you pack helps when you are unsure what the real root cause is, or your first draft keeps coming out long and general. For sellers, we draft a case-specific plan of action from your notice and data, an evidence index tying each statement to a named file, a list of missing evidence, a submission checklist and a plain note on weak points. You review it and submit it from your own account.
No subscription and no extra fees. Delivered by email within 24 hours of your order. Covers one suspension or listing notice for one seller account.

Questions
Is a plan of action the same as an appeal letter?
Mostly. Sellers often call it an appeal letter or plan of action, while Amazon now often uses an appeal form with set questions. Either way, Amazon wants the same content: the root cause, the corrective actions you have taken and the preventive steps you will keep using, backed by documents.
Can I use a template for my appeal?
A template can help with structure, but a generic letter that does not mention your notice, ASINs, orders and dates tends to read as copied. Reviewers look for evidence that you understood the specific problem. Use a structure if it helps, then replace every general sentence with a fact from your own case.
What if my first appeal is not accepted?
Read the reply carefully for what was missing, such as more detail on the root cause or a specific document, then use View Appeal in Account Health to add it. Answer that point directly rather than resubmitting the same text. Only add documents you genuinely hold, and keep each new version focused on the original notice.
